Some Thanksgiving Day Observations

PPPS (Littleton)—We thought we would share just a few Thanksgiving Day observations tweeted by our staff yesterday.

On Thanksgiving Holiday:

Learned that President Lincoln designated Thanksgiving as a national holiday in the midst of personal grief and a civil war. If he found things to be thankful for, we certainly can too. Thank you Lord for your many blessings.
Michael Medved's late evening radio show reading about the history of the Pilgrims and the first Thanksgiving was great. Learned a lot.

On Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade:

Enjoyed Parade. Liked Aflac Duck. Not sure about NBC's last-minute designation of UN Ambassador Susan Rice as Grand Marshall.
Really liked marching bands. Learned a lot about our culture. But having a Mr. and Mr. Claus at the end was a bit over the top.

On Football:

Tebow! Tebow! Tebow!
Fumbles are Fun. So are Missed Field Goals.

On Family:

We love it when our kids call. Sometimes wish they weren't so far away.
Met some Conservatives from Wisconsin. It was a wonderful thing. Learned about a guy named Paul Ryan, cold weather and cheese.
Thanks Debbie and Kevin, the Estes Park Crew, and the Fort Collins Contingent. We greatly enjoyed your company. God bless you all.
